In a short time he made her feel at ease and gave her a complete mini lesson on how her body worked and why she was experiencing pain and gave her the remedy to get better. After a successful high school and college career as a goalkeeper I was left with great memories, but tremendous knee pain. I was diagnosed with osteochondritis dissecans with a large defect that needed repair. After receiving microfracture knee surgery in 2011 I was still not healed and had continuous pain. After many months of research to find the best doctors I chose a team who recommended an allograft transplant surgery. Knowing I was going to need a lot of physical therapy post op, I also researched many physical therapists and found Megan Reilly Jurik and The Recovery Room. Before the transplant I contacted and visited Megan to see if it was a good fit. Megan had unbelievable knowledge on the transplant surgery I was having, talked me through the protocol for therapy even before my surgeon spoke to me about it post op, knew my doctors and their work in the field, and put me completely at ease both physically and mentally before my operation. Megan contacted me before, during, and after my surgery to see how I was feeling and also talked me through all the home therapy I needed to complete before I can return to see her. I felt like she was at my house helping me with my continuous passive motion machine, the game ready ice machine, and any questions i had about discomfort or pain. I know I am in great hands for my recovery and highly reccomend her 100%

I can only say in a few weeks movements I was not able to do for years I am now able to achieve. Dr. Vidaic listens and explains what each treatment does. I went to the Recovery Room, which is in Waldwick, New Jersey. There I met Dr. Megan Jurik. She is a highly skilled professional who always puts the patient first. She is efficient and effective. She utilizes the treatment time to its maximum for her patients. She is empathetic and sympathetic to the needs of her patients. To me, our first session was the most important as it provided Dr, Jurik the opportunity to determine the source(s) of the issues I faced. Based on this knowledge she adapted her treatment and therapy sessions to accommodate my needs. It was these such sessions that reduced my pain. 3 weeks after surgery I was given a script for physical therapy and once again, I sought out Dr. Jurik of the Recovery Room to help improve my neck and shoulder strength as well as improving my range of motion. It was exceedingly difficult when I started because of muscle soreness and lack of range of motion. Dr. Jurik used her skills to reduce my soreness and improve my range of motion. She also provided me with an exercise program to perform at home for the days I was not going to physical therapy to keep up the improvements that she had helped me attain. I especially like the fact that she always asks, “how do you feel” and adapts her therapy sessions and exercises based on the answer given. She did not use a cookie cutter approach to treating me but adjusted the sessions to accommodate my needs. If I could use one word to describe Dr Jurik, it would be “OUTSTANDING”.
